DSC Vision: In Joint Vision 2010, the DoD has described a scenario in which forces are flexible, agile, and can be rapidly reconfigured. The DSC believes the logistic support of these forces must be just as agile and reconfigurable. DSC used a process to get to our action plan that involved:
- Envisioning the future environment
- Establishing the DoD sustainment position that we hope to achieve
- Developing the pathway that we think will lead to that position
- Designing an action plan to move along the pathway.
These steps were accomplished through DSC meetings, coupled with a Delphi Survey of DSC members and others from the Government and industrial defense community.
